Solutions for fast-changing living spaces throughout the world make life more enjoyable and comfortable.
In 2007, Tecnospace, a company specializing in architectural glass walls for office areas, established a subsidiary in Belgium: BuzziSpace. The array of products offered under the new brand fulfilled like no other the ever-growing need for quiet in open spaces, such as in offices and lofts, and in no time proved to be an absolute winner far beyond the Belgian borders.
The first four products – BuzziZone, BuzziBoard, BuzziLight, and BuzziScreen – by the in-house designer Sas Adriaenssens, received international design awards very soon. These included the Marie-Claire Maison Award during the Maison & Objet trade fair in Paris. The success story of the 100% green BuzziSpace became a shining example for the design branch almost immediately and showed that recycling and cool designs can indeed go hand in hand. Shortly after the start-up of BuzziSpace, new products also became available from designers such as Alain Gilles, who had already collaborated with illustrious brands like Bonaldo and Casamania. His products BuzziBooth, -Hood, -Blinds, and -Cockpit have been acclaimed in the international press and can be found today in the offices of Microsoft, Facebook, SAS Airlines, and Google. In the meantime, BuzziSpace has been bringing out furniture that allows flexibility and modularity in commercial buildings and offices, as well as in the home: the BuzziSwitch collection, for instance, combines recycled wood with felt, whereby a fascinating formal language emerges.
For BuzziSpace, recycled PET bottles as the basic material for the products is just as important as the organic glue that is used. Furthermore, the BuzziSpace designs offer solutions for rapidly changing living spaces throughout the entire world: our offices and homes are becoming increasingly more compact, while at the same time, having openness in these spaces is becoming more and more important to us. Thanks to the sound-absorbing, environmentally friendly felt used for the BuzziProducts, aesthetics and noise reduction unite in lovely objects that make our everyday life more enjoyable and comfortable.
Today, BuzziSpace has branches throughout the world, with showrooms in Chicago, Sydney, London, Rotterdam, Cologne, and, of course, at its headquarters in the Belgian city of Antwerp.
