Furniture made of 3D formable wood
Tina Lehner has been working with compressed wood ever since attending a postgraduate workshop in Denmark in 1997.
Her primary objective was not to produce new furniture. Rather, she wished to gain experience with the new formal language the material afforded, for it is precisely this aspect which requires a complete change in thinking: from traditional boards and edge-to-edge joints to long and wide pieces of wood that can be bent in all directions. In 2001, she realized the first prototype in Vienna.
