SKIN – Material Future: Bringing together what belongs together!

Information and Inspiration

After its launch at the Design Month in Graz, a UNESCO City of Design, and a showing this summer at the Vienna MuseumsQuartier, from 23-25 October SKIN – Material Future was shown at Europe’s largest trade fair for materials, the MATERIALICA, in Munich.

Research + Design = Innovation First Hand

The exhibition series SKIN: Material Future is the official kick-off for the initiative SKIN: Future Materials, funded by the austria wirtschaftsservice (aws) [Austrian economic development service]. As a platform for communication and linking innovation, design, and business, SKIN bridges the gap between the disciplines. It drives the process that stands behind the exchange of expertise and supports the development and communication involved in creating original products using innovative materials and processes.

On the one hand, the goal of the show is to encourage diverse industries to work together. But there is also an intention to arouse the curiosity of the general public about the innovations or the products they lead to that result from these joint efforts.
